About the AMTA Team
UTPLS is the home of Canada's only American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) Team. With 8 awards at all levels of competition in just 3 years, UofT has become on of the fasted growing programs in AMTA. Every year we field two teams of competitors to attend tournaments in the US.
As a member of our team you will receive coaching from experienced trial lawyers and award winning student attorneys.
While the team requires a time commitment, we work hard to build a fun environment that balances hard work and relaxed social events.
If you are interested in trying-out for the team stay tuned since we will be releasing more information in the coming weeks and months. The AMT board also recommends any perspective members attend Trial and Error, and Mini-Mock. Both will give a hopeful team member the necessary experience to make an impact on the team as well as give our captains and directors more opportunities to see you compete before your tryout.

How to Get Involved
Once registration has been opened for the team you will undergo a standard tryout process. This will include an interview and a practical tryout. During your tryout you will be asked to perform some of the basic elements of a mock trial depending on if you are a lawyer or witness.
